Practice policy is that home visits are reserved for exceptional circumstances only.
Effective patient care in general practice is best delivered in the majority of instances at our surgery premises. Here the clinicians have access to support staff, investigation facilities and the record systems are close to hand.
Home visits are discretionary and not an absolute requirement of GP terms and services.
A home visit will normally only occur in the following circumstances
If you wish to request a home visit, please telephone 02920797751 at 8am. wherever possible. You will be asked to give a brief outline of the problem with the receptionist along with a contact number. All requests for a home visit are triaged by a clinician and you will be contacted by telephone. If it is more appropriate that the problem can be best dealt with at the surgery, you will be asked to attend. Some conditions can be dealt with safely over the telephone.
